Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
National postal operator Poczta Polska announced a voluntary redundancy plan for 2014, affecting over 4,000 jobs. According to the sources, Poczta Polska has been implementing a restructuring programme in the previous years involving about 2,200 job reductions in 2012 and over 4,000 ones in 2013. The move is also associated with the company’s plans to get listed on the stock exchange in the future (until 2018).
Currently, Poczta Polska employs 86,000 people in 8,000 units across the country.
