Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
IT company OVH is to recruit 150 new staff by the end of April 2014 at its sites of Roubaix (Nord), Brest (Finistere) and Lyon (Rhone). Recruitment aims at engineers and technicians.
OVH will furthermore open new sites in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) and Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine) by the end of 2014. This could bring the total workforce from currently 700 employees to 1,000 staff by 2015.
Established in 1999, the French company operates 12 data centres as of 2013. The group had announced to recruit 100 employees in 2011 (see ERM Factsheet) and 500 in 2012 (see ERM Factsheet). Furthermore, it has reported to have created 130 jobs during 2013.
