Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Multinational insurance company Aviva is to cut 120 jobs in France by the end of 2014. This is part of a worldwide restructuring (see ERM Factsheet).
The management has concluded an agreement with labour unions that aims at reducing the workforce via natural attrition and a support scheme for personal projects.
The group employs about 3,300 staff in France.
