Description
Dutch care services provider for people with intellectual disabilities Philadelphia is to cut 900 jobs in the coming two years, out of a total of 7,600 jobs.
As announced, the restructuring is due to the government decision to reduce the budget for long term care and will affect 300 administrative and 600 care jobs in the organisation.
According to media report, in the future, part of the services is to be provided by volunteers.
As reported, compulsory redundancies are not ruled out and in the near future more details are to be announced on the sites to be affected based on a new social plan.
The unions opposed the plan pointing out that the announced government budget cuts refer to 2015.
