Description

Moncigale, wholesale firm of alcoholic beverages, is to cut about 47 positions in Beaucaire. Additionally, 9 positions in logistics activities will be outsourced to an external company that would take over 9 employees.

Worker representatives have denounced the measure, called for strikes, and asked the labour inspectorate (Direccte) to cancel the social plan. If the latter sanctions the cuts, then first dismissals will occur around Christmas time.

Additional cuts were announced as a result from the closure of the company’s plant in Zizurkil, Spain.
