Description
Electronics company ABB is to cut 150 jobs at its German Power Systems section. This is mainly to affect engineering positions in Mannheim (Baden-Württemberg), Minden (North Rhine-Westphalia) and Dresden (Saxony).
The measure is due to a decreasing demand in the energy sector.
The company is in talks with worker representatives and aims to avoid forced redundancies by internal relocations.
ABB group is based in Zurich, Switzerland, employing about 10,000 staff in Germany.
