Description

Meat packing company Hilton Food is to cut 89 jobs in Sweden. Cuts are to affect 74 blue-collar and 15 white-collar workers. Temporary employees will also be affected. It is however unknown how many at this stage.

The restructuring is due to new investments in machine-based equipment.

The measure will be implemented within ten months. Negotiations with labour unions have started.

Hilton Food group is based in England.
