Description
German statutory health insurance company Kaufmannische Krankenkasse KKH will cut 300 jobs in Germany until autumn 2014. The cuts are to affect service and sales workers.
KKH suffers from high spending for administration and needs to increase efficiency.
As a reply to a changed behavior of assured persons including a tendency towards web-based consultations, the insurance company will close 35 of its current 110 service centres and 5 of its 13 regional centres. 70 of 470 sales positions will be cut.
KKH is in talks with worker representatives.
