Description
Hearing aids manufacturer Widex is to cut 85 jobs. This amounts to 10% of its total workforce. The redundancies are to take place in production at the headquarters in Lynge and in the assembling site in Helsinge.
The redundancies are part of a costs-saving plan to increase competitiveness. As production is likely to be outsourced to Estonia in the next two years, more redundancies in Denmark can be expected in the future.
Widex had 850 employees in Denmark and around 3800 employees at global level.
