Description
Power and engineering company Alstom is to reduce its workforce by 100 in France. This is to affect administrative and support positions.
The measure is part of a European restructuring plan aiming at 1,300 job cuts in order to increase the company’s competitiveness.
The timeline for the restructuring is not yet available.
Alstom currently employs around 18,000 employees in France. An earlier round of dismissals in France (up to 177 jobs) was announced in 2011.
