European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Aldesa will apply for a redundancy procedure (ERE) to affect 171 staff. Dismissals are planned at the company’s subsidiaries AMC (100 staff to be affected) and Acisa (71 staff).
The measure follows a longer period in which the company was restructured without major employment effects.
Unions have called for a strike in the affected plants of AMS and Acisa.
As of 2012, Aldesa employed 4,190 in total, of which about 3,400 in Spain.
