Description
The Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has announced plans to cut up to 150 jobs. The cuts are part of wider measures aimed at cutting £10m in the next financial year and about £19m by the end of 2017.
As announced, the new budgetary plans are a result of reduced government funding.
The Council has entered a 45-day consultation period with trade unions.
As of November 2013, no specific date has been given for the implementation of the job cuts.
