European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Office furniture manufacturer Steelcase is to build a new factory in Ostrov u Stribra and to create up to 900 jobs in the second half of 2014. This is partly due to an offshoring initiative, shifting production from Germany to the Czech Republic.
Steelcase group is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and employs about 10,000 staff in 21 factories worldwide. The company is operating in Czech Republic since 1993.
