Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Dutch graphics group Roto Smeets is to cut 170 FTE jobs by April 2014. As announced, the cost-cutting job reduction measure will affect the group’s printing business line in Deventer, Etten-Leur, Weert and Doetinchem sites.
As reported, the restructuring is due to the deteriorating conditions in the printing market.
For previous restructuring in the group see Roto Smeets-2009.
