Description
Chemicals company Invista is to cut 120 jobs in Gersthofen during 2014.
This is due to the termination of the unprofitable production of the chemical DTM. In May, Invista had announced its plan to cut jobs, which led 30 workers to leave the company voluntarily earlier this year.
Invista is based in Wichita, US, employing about 16,000 staff in 20 countries. 270 staff are employed in Gersthofen so far. The company is a subsidiary of the US-based Koch Industries group. In 2009, Invista had already ceased its production in Offenbach, making 280 staff redundant.
