Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Call centre, Eishtec, is to expand its employees by 250 to a total of 900 by mid-2014, after it secured a new contract to service UK customers.
The new contract is to service T-mobile customers in the UK.
Eishtec started its operation in the region in 2011, following the closure of the Talk Talk call centre company. Eishtec has expanded to around 650 staff since then.
As announced, the expansion is supported by Enterprise Ireland.
