Pappas is to close its spare parts depot for Mercedes in Salzburg, making 110 staff redundant by the end of 2013.
This step is caused by the fact that Daimler is to take over the exclusive import of spare parts for Mercedes, smart and Fuso. The group has bought the second 50pc of the Mercedes Benz Austria distribution company. The wholesale business with spare parts will be run via Mercedes' logistics center in Nuremberg.

Pappas employs about 2,800 staff in Austria, being the largest seller and service provider for Daimler cars in the country.
