Description
Hoteli Bernardin in Portoroz (Obalno-kraska) is to cut 72 job positions by the end of 2013. Of the 72 cuts, 10 are to be made by means of direct dismissals of permanent staff while 62 will be implemented through the non-renewal of fixed-term contracts.
The hotel chain has been asked to implement a restructuring by its creditors after it faced financial difficulties due to the recession.
Bernardin is one of the main hotel companies on the Slovenian coast, employing 584 staff.
