Bombardier Aerospace, a manufacturer of aircrafts, is to expand its Belfast operations resulting in 250 jobs to be created.
The restructuring is to take place over the next 12 months, bringing total staff to 6,250 at the end of 2014.
Bombardier’s expansion follows several rounds of labor cuts in 2009 (Bombardier2009/1 and Bombardier2009/2) and a subsequent addition of about 1,000 staff in the last two years within the same region.
Bombardier is based in Montreal, Canada, and employs about 71,700 staff worldwide.
