Description
IT service company Tieto is to cut 180 jobs in Sweden.
With this measure, Tieto seeks to cut over-capacities in order to increase competitiveness and meet its long-term financial targets. The job dismissals in Sweden are part of a larger restructuring initiative that is also to affect Tieto’s Finnish workforce.
Negotiations with the labour unions have started and it is not yet clear where the restructuring will take place geographically in Sweden.
Tieto is headquartered in Finland and employs close to 18,000 staff in nearly 30 countries. For previous restructuring cases announced by Tieto Sweden in 2012 see 2012/1 and 2012/2.
