Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Tata Group owned chemicals company Tata Chemicals Europe is to cut 220 jobs at its sites in Winnington and Lostock, Cheshire.
The job reduction measure envisages the closure of the soda ash and calcium chloride production factory in Winnington and job cuts at its Lostock site.
The company said that the restructuring is in a bid to reduce energy costs.
As announced a redundancy consultation period with unions and staff has been launched.
The timeline for the restructuring is not yet available.
