Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Dutch group Hurks provider of real estate development services is to cut 120 jobs.
The job reduction measure refers to 15% of its total workforce with half of the announced job losses affecting the group’s precast concrete plants in Veldhoven and Tilburg.
According to the sources, the Eindhoven based group with a total workforce of 794 people, had already implemented a job reduction measure of 50 job cuts in 2012 affecting its precast concrete factories.
The restructuring is attributed to the crisis in the construction sector and its timeline is not yet available.
