Description
As announced on September 127, 2013, German automotive supplier Continental will cut up to 450 jobs in Babenhausen (Hesse).
Overall, Continental employs 2,300 people in Babenhausen. A supplementary collective agreement safeguards 1,850 of them until the end of 2019. Continental aims to avoid forced redundancies and will cut jobs by natural fluctuation. A spokesperson of the company confirmed that other sites of Continental in Hesse might be affected. Continental employs 175,000 people worldwide.
