Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
As announced on 18 September 2013, French-based cosmetics company Yves Rocher will cut 47 jobs in Germany by 2014. This is due to weak demand in mail order business.
In total, Yves Rocher employs 443 people in Germany. 300 people are employed in full-time positions, among them 33 will be laid off.
