Description
German industrial machinery supplier for the paper industry Voith Paper is to cut 270 jobs until September 2014. These cuts will be made in addition to the job reductions announced in mid-2012 (updated in August 2013).
The job reduction measures are due to the decreasing demand in Europe and China.
In total, Voith plans to cut 270 jobs in Germany, including 210 in Krefeld (North Rhine-Westphalia), 50 in Ravensburg (Baden-Württemberg), 10 in Neuwied (Rhineland-Palatinate).
Forced redundancies have not been ruled out.
The restructuring plan also includes job reduction measures in Austria.
