Marangoni Tyre, one of the leading players on the European market of car tyres, is to close its plant located at Anagni (in the province of Frosinone), with the consequent loss of 410 jobs. The Regione Lazio is planning to have meetings with the company and the trade unions in order to find adequate solutions to safeguard the current employment’s level in the area.
Updated, 10-12-2013: As reported, the company and the trade unions, with the support of Regione Lazio, have reached an agreement that envisages the recourse to Wage Guarantee Fund schemes for one year, with the consequent freezing of the previously announced job-cuts. In the next months the parties will be involved in finding adequate solutions in order to safeguard an industrial future to the site.
