Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Atlas Copco Rock Drills, manufacturer of drilling equipment, has announced a reduction of 163 jobs in response to the continued weak global demand for mining equipment. The job reduction measure refers to 110 blue-collar and 53 white-collar workers.
Atlas Copco Rock Drills in Örebro employed 1,767 people since the beginning of 2013 and the reduction is planned to start at the end of the year.
Negotiations with the labour union IF Metall have started.
