Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Portuguese food retail company Jerónimo Martins, owner of the store chain Biedronka in Poland, announced its plans to create 200 jobs at the new distribution centre in Lubartów (the Lublin Voivodeship). The centre will be operational from 4 September 2013 and it will supply articles to 200 stores in the region.
Jerónimo Martins has been operating in Poland since 1995. The company has 2,180 stores in 800 Polish cities and 11 distribution centres across Poland. Jerónimo Martins employs over 40,000 people in Poland.
