Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Dynapac Compaction Equipment, a manufacturer of compaction and paving equipment and subsidiary of Atlas Copco, is to cut 47 blue-collar and 10 white-collar jobs in Karlskrona. As announced, the reason for the restructuring is the low demand due to the global economic recession. As of August 2013, the timeline for the job reduction plans is not yet available.
The Karlskrona based factory, which primarily manufactures soil and asphalt rollers, currently has 393 employees. For information on previously announced restructurings see Dynapac-2012 and Dynapac-2008.
