Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Freight forwarding agency Kunze, part of the Hellmann Worldwide Logistics group, is to cut 82 out of 130 jobs at its site in Bielefeld.
Among the 82 redundant staff there are 10 trainees that will have the chance to continue their internships in the companys’ central office.
As announced the restructuring is due to the expected lower demand since a partnership with the CargoLine transport and logistics co-operation will be discontinued.
The company employs a total of 470 workers in Germany.
