Carapelli, Italian producer of extra virgin oil, is to cut 55 jobs out of 280 in its plants located at Inveruno (in the province of Milan) and Tavarnelle (in the province of Florence). For these 55 workers, a mobility plan has been opened.
According to the company, the reorganisation programme is mainly due to the decreasing amount of sales. The trade unions reacted to the company’s decision asking for meetings for additional details of the reorganisation plan.
Carapelli belongs to the Spanish group Deoleo.
