Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Holiday company Center Parcs has announced that it plans to recruit 1,500 people at its new holiday village in Bedfordshire. The site is due to open in the spring 2014, but recruitment has already commenced.
Whilst most roles at the site will be part time the company is also looking to employ some full time workers. The most recent announcement for the recruitment refers to 685 vacancies: 126 waiting staff, 500 housekeepers, six nurses and 53 spa therapists. All the vacancies are expected to be filled by January 2014.
