Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On the 13th of June 2013, Faurecia Automotive Industrie announced it will cut 54 jobs. In detail, this plan will affect 38 jobs in production, 16 administrative staff and about 40 temporary workers positions. The management has launched a voluntary departure plan to avoid forced dismissals. The plant, which employs 490 employees, faces difficulties due to the termination of the production of several cars built by Renault, Ford or Mitsubishi.
