Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 24 June 2013, the call centre Call Expert Languedoc Roussillon (105 employees) in Saint-Christol-lez-Als was placed in liquidation. The commercial court is to decide the liquidation in July. The closure of the company will affect 105 employees will be dismissed.
According the group, the site lost an important contract with its main client. Employees have started to strike and the company lost other clients, and was forced to ask for a liquidation.
Call Expert Languedoc Roussillon is a subsidiary of the group Call Expert (700 employees in France).
