Description
American IT multinational EMC has announced 200 new jobs at a new office in Cork due to open in August 2013. The new posts will be in engineering, customer support, sales, finance, research and development and IT. EMC has commenced recruiting for the posts, with a view to completing the recruitment and selection process by the end of 2013.
Cork is seen by the company as a 'critical innovation hub' relating to its global growth strategy focused on 'cloud, Big Data and trusted IT'. EMC has also been engaging in collaborative partnerships with third-level education institutions like Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) on cloud, Big Data and data centre transformation research programmes.
