Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
INA Kysuce and INA Skalica, subsidiaries of German Schaeffler Company in Slovakia, will create 320 new jobs in 2013. INA Kysuce and INA Skalica are the main suppliers of bearings for the automotive industry.
The business expansion, which partly results from a € 80 million investment, is attributed to the relocation of some production activities from Germany (up to 120 jobs) and the establishment of a new financial centre of shared services for Europe and service and development centre (in total about 200 jobs).
The company has been operating in Slovakia for almost 20 years. As its subsidiaries in Slovakia were opened, it asked the Slovak Government for the provision of state aid in the form of tax holidays.
For information on a previous restructuring announced by the company see INA Slovakia.
