Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Spanish wind turbine manufacturer, Gamesa is to cut 1,800 jobs reducing its global workforce by 20 per cent. As announced, within the framework of its business plan for the period 2013 - 2015 these job cuts will conclude in the first quarter of 2013. According to the sources affected countries are Spain (see Gamesa-ES2012), China and the U.S.A.
