Description

MTD, US-based manufacturer of motorized gardening equipment, will make 175 people redundant by closing its site in Saarbrücken (Saarland) and offshoring production to Hungary. This is due to weak utilization.

MTD employs 415 people in Saarbrücken; 240 of them work for the administration and will not be relocated.
