Description
University Hospital North Staffordshire (UHNS) has announced plans to cut 400 jobs in the next financial year as part of wider measures aimed at making £22m of savings. The job cuts are blamed on an estimated underlying deficit of £41m in 2013-14. According to UHNS, the cuts would be implemented mostly by reducing the number of agency staff and eliminating vacant posts.
