Description
On 27 May 2013, the American IT company IBM has announced plans to cut 689 by means of voluntary departures. IBM will also propose internal mobility for 129 employees who can move to a new site in Lille. However, the union CFDT expects a large number of refusals from employees, which could possibly increase the number of job cuts to 818. The job cuts are attributed to decreased profits. The company currently employs 9,700 employees in France.
