Description
Roche Applied Science, a subsidiary of Hoffmann-La Roche, will cut 110 jobs in Penzberg, Bavaria. This is caused by the integration of Roche’s Applied Sciences section in its Clinical Diagnostics section. Roche said that the closure of its Applied Sciences section is due to price pressure and cutbacks in research and development. Additionally, it ended an alliance with IBM. Further 60 jobs are to be cut in Branford, USA. Job cuts will be carried out by the end of 2013.
