German Vodafone, subsidiary of the British Vodafone Group, is to cut 500 jobs. This is a part of newly announced restructuring programme. Vodafone faces some structural changes in the mobile phone industry and high competition.
In addition to the job cuts, the restructuring programme involves delocalisation to Romania (network technolgy area) and India (customer service) and a reduction of starting salaries. The programme will be implemented between 2013 and 2015.
