Description
Coccolino, one of the brands owned by Anglo-Dutch Unilever group, is to close its site located in Milan with the loss of 120 jobs. The affected site is a logistics and R&D centre; operations will be delocalised to London and Rotterdam.
If the negotiations between the management, trade unions, and local authorities do not result in any alternative solutions, the collective dismissals procedures will start in mid-June. The workers have organised various protest actions.
Unilever has around 3,000 employees in Italy.
