Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 8 March 2013, the commercial court of Troyes (Aube) appointed the group Intersport as a receiver of the bicycles manufacturer Clycleurope i Machecoul (Loire-Atlantique). The new name of the company became “La manufacture française du cycle” and will employ 175 employees of a total workforce of 254. 79 employees will lose their position. The 79 job cuts result out of 29 direct dismissals and 50 out of other measures (retirement).
