Description
As announced on March 8, 2013, German engineering group Heraeus will cut up to 260 jobs in its Material Technology section. This is due to market changes.
In total, the company will cut 500 jobs in this section, aside from the 260 jobs in Germany, 190 workers are affected also in the USA. Job cuts in Germany shall be realized by the end of 2014 and mainly affect workers in Hanau (Hesse) and Kleinostheim (Bavaria), where currently 1,270 people are employed. Talks with worker representatives have been announced.
