European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Spanish construction company FCC has announced the dismissal of 1,000 employees till the end of 2013 in Spain. The dismissals are part of the company’s strategic plan 2013-2015 and are attributed to the drop in the demand in the construction sector.
Update 24-04-2013: the company has reached an agreement with the unions UGT and CCOO to apply for a Redundancy Procedure affecting 842 employees.
