Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Unilever France, member of the Anglo–Dutch multinational consumer goods company Unilever, is planning to cut 152 positions by 2013, in the framework of a European restructuring. The job cuts will affect 87 managers and 65 technicians. The positions will be partially transferred in the Netherlands. Management stresses to have informed employees’ representatives on EU level in December 2012.
