Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
ÅF, a Swedish technical consulting company, is planning to increase its workforce by 120 engineers in Gothenburg and Western Sweden during 2013.
In total, the company plans to hire around 3,000 people before 2015. Around 400 engineers will be employed in Gothenburg and Western Sweden within the next three years. The employment adjustment is due to the acquisition of Epsilon and Advansia in 2012, which strengthen ÅF's position in the market, as well as high levels of profitability. ÅF's fourth quarter operating profit of SEK 156 million (148) was the highest so far in the history of the company.
Today the ÅF Group has approximately 6,800 employees.
