European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Danone announced plans to cut 236 positions by 2015. According to trade union sources the redundancies will be carried out across the company’s management and administrative staff, mainly in the fresh milk products segment (79 positions).
Job cuts will be reached through both voluntary redundancies and relocation within the company. Details on the implementation of the redundancies are said to be given in March.
The group has announced a European wide cost savings plan outlining 900 job cuts by 2015 (see here).
