Tellabs, a manufacturer of communications network equipment for telecom providers, has announced redundancies of up to 63 employees from is operations in Finland. The company has started negotiations with employee representatives on the proposed cuts.
Tellabs has 450 employees in two locations in Finland: Espoo and Oulu. The company cites changing customer needs and market situation as reasons for restructuring, which is part of the company's worldwide restructuring plan aimed at cutting costs.
In autumn 2012 Tellabs laid off 30 employees in Finland.
